Biodiversity in the city: highlights from the 2025 edition of City Nature Challenge in Turin (first one in the city)
The Regional Museum of Natural Sciences organized the 2025 local edition of the City Nature Challenge, on behalf the Municipality of Turin.

The event took place worldwide from April 25 to May 4, gathering more than 3 million observations on around 74 thousand species from 103 thousand citizen scientists.
For the first time in Turin, the two-day field event brought together experts and citizens who jointly conducted biodiversity surveys in the Colonnetti and Valentino parks.
June 11 will be marked by the following appointments:
- institutional greetings;
- general presentation of the City Nature Challenge;
- report on the activities and data collected in Turin;
- awarding of the winners.
