CURIOUS BY NATURE. Life stories and passion for animals
Presentation of the book Curious by Nature by Stefano Camanni. The author will be in conversation with Roberta Tota, naturalist at the Regional Museum of Natural Sciences.
Renowned naturalists, such as Charles Darwin, Jane Goodall, Konrad Lorenz or Edward Wilson, devoted their lives to studying animals. Their writings and interviews shine with fondness and concern for living creatures.
The book depicts thirty portraits of renowned and lesser-known ethologists, from Europe to Africa to the Americas, and gives an insight on the relationship between natural scientists and animals, with the utmost scientific and historical accuracy.
The final section of the book is dedicated to visiting the hot spots travelled by the most renowned naturalists, a sort of user-friendly scientific and naturalistic mini-guide.
Stefano Camanni has been president of the company Arnica environmental design since 1996.
He is fully active in the field of museology, being involved in the design and planning of more than 30 museum exhibits, park visitor centres and nature-themed exhibitions.
