Appunti Museum

Description

The Appunti Museum is a virtual natural history museum that explores the natural properties of the Cuneo area.

The website was built and implemented by the Gesso and Stura River Park.

The museum is being jointly managed by naturalist Dario Olivero, with the assistance of:

  • experts in scientific disciplines;
  • local authorities;
  • regular visitors to the area.

It depicts the key natural areas around Cuneo through the following subject-specific sheets:

  • places and/or environments;
  • routes and trails;
  • hallmarks of landscape features;
  • animal and plant life;
  • fossils and minerals;
  • notable biographies;
  • libraries and museums.

The files are being steadily updated and integrated.

The file archive is freely accessible to the public.

Anyone can add content to the Museum’s Notes by sharing images, information, research, reports.

Activities

The Gesso and Stura River Park provides field trips to explore species and natural areas of outstanding beauty with the assistance of specialists jointly working with the Appunti Museum.
