Welcome back, bearded vulture! is a Visitor Center of the Gran Paradiso National Park.
Visitors experience a captivating story: how the bearded vulture, Europe’s largest bird, is once again soaring through skies above the Gran Paradiso National Park.
Visitors can trace all the stages of this story:
- the drama of extinction;
- gradual steps towards a thrilling comeback;
- the long-awaited happy ending, featuring the permanent presence of this majestic bird in the Park’s skies.
Storytelling in the exhibition path is enriched by:
- texts;
- images;
- sounds;
- multimedia games;
- a touch-free multimedia station.
Visitors will find:
- recreation of a bearded vulture’s nest on a rock face;
- an ossuary;
- a thorough model illustrating gliding flight dynamics;
- details about the birdlife in the Park.
The Visitor Centre features:
- a permanent exhibition on the bearded vulture;
- an information desk;
- a projection room;
